On April 12, 2010, Diamond Moba Americas welcomed Deputy Secretary of Commerce Dennis F. Hightower and Congressman Gary Peters, along with several local business and government leaders to its headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The purpose of the visit was to share best practices and ongoing concerns in the revitalization of small and medium manufacturing in Michigan.
In an extensive factory tour, Deputy Secretary Hightower and Congressman Peters could see how Diamond Moba Americas production operations are successfully proceeding with a LEAN revitalization strategy towards achieving its goal of world class performance. Deputy Secretary Hightower and Congressman Peters both expressed their gratitude for and support of the 150 Diamond Moba Americas employees that, in their words, represent the innovation and competitiveness of American industry.
During the visit, Diamond Moba Americas briefed the Deputy Secretary and the Congressman on the economic contributions and the challenges of the American Egg Industry. Congressman Peters is looking forward to welcoming members of the United Egg Producers into his office during the annual Washington meeting, the week of May 10th.
